The main reasons for the failure of rubber seals used in submersible pumps are as follows.
1. Because of the high temperature of rubber seals or the long-term use of rubber seals in high temperature oil, the rubber parts become old and inelastic.
2. Damage caused by wear and tear on the surface of rubber seals, such as friction between rubber oil seals and the sealing surface of rotating shafts, which results in the failure of rubber oil seals.
3. Failure due to deformation of rubber seals due to excessive pressure. If the O-shaped rubber sealing ring is deformed greatly after use, it can not continue to be used after disassembly. A new sealing ring should be replaced.
